Given that my Second Best Case Scenario is to retire in 11 1/2 year–the 1st of December 2027–I’m considering ticking down the months.
From today, that is 137 months. I really like the idea of using a ticker just to see the progress I’m making. At the same time, I don’t want to become obsessed with counting the time down that I start to lose my ability to live in the present.
Also 11 1/2 years is a lot to count down. I may be better off waiting until it’s closer.
What do you think? Do you tick time off until exciting events? Do you prefer to refrain from counting down so you can stay present? Let me know what you’d do if you were in my situation.
Peace out (and in),
Jaye
